MAN'S WIFE HELPED KILL HIM, COPS SAY.(CAPITAL REGION)

SCHENECTADY The wife of murder victim Paul L. Lacy encouraged and participated in his strangulation, carried out by his cousin and a family friend in the Lacy home the night before Thanksgiving, authorities said Tuesday.

The suspects then put the body of Lacy, 31, in the back seat of his 1986 Volvo and drove the car a few blocks from his Duane Avenue home, where they abandoned it, police said. Police found Lacy's body in the back seat of the car Saturday afternoon.

Schenectady County District Attorney Robert Carney, labeling the killing a ``treacherous crime,'' said it was the first murder case in Schenectady that might qualify for capital punishment.

Arraigned in City Court on Tuesday were Stella Lacy, 30, of 111 Duane Ave., the victim's wife; Ronald Faulkner, 34, the victim's cousin, who rented a room in the Lacy home; and Calvin …
