Fed: Bank fees cost average family $50 week

A new study's found Australian families are forking out more than 50-dollars each week
in bank fees .. with low-paid workers handing over about 30 bucks towards the bank bottom
line.

News Limited papers report the Australia Institute analysis has found excessive fees
and banks charging higher interest rates than needed are helping drive up their profits.

It also says the fees businesses are being slugged .. are being passed on to consumers.
