NSW: Man's body found in caravan after bushfire
The body of an elderly man killed in yesterday's bushfires has been discovered inthe north-west of Sydney.
It is the second death related to this week's fires.
Police say the remains of a 71-year-old man were found around 11am (AEDT)today insidea burnt-out caravan on a property at Maroota.
A police spokeswoman says the man's son contacted emergency services late yesterdayafternoon but police were unable to reach the property because of the fire's intensity.
The spokeswoman says the dead man had lived in the caravan on the 105-hectare propertyoff Wisemans Ferry Road.
A report is being prepared for the state coroner.
